PINA.

Our newest obsession is Pina Baush.

Wim Wenders  did a documentary about Pina

and when the movie came out

I wasn’t able to see it since we were busy with work.

We just saw it this weekend and we were

mesmerized.

If you don’t know about Pina,

She was a German choreographer who passed away in 2009.

She had a unique style that influence dance in

the 1970’s. She was remarkable!

We took Bela and we did not know what She was going to think of it

since her style is very avant and portrays a lot of pain in a very

surreal way.

She loved the movie, the music and the dance so much plus the movie was made in 3D !

We thought the movie was magnificent!

I don’t know too many people who saw this film,

if you did what did you think?

We are very excited about this movie in our house as well. I only found out about Pina recently too. Through another student at WISC, where I am training to become a Waldorf Teacher. Our thoughts are that she may have been influenced by Eurythmy, which is a form of dance inspired by Rudolph Steiner’s ideals on early childhood development and Anthroposophy. Waldorf Education truly originated in Germany, where Pina apprerantly was from?
I hope all is well with you Karen. Nice to see your new line coming out. My husband is now producing and designing shirts for children and adults. As soon as we get his Etsy shop and website open I will shoot you some images so you can take a gander at his design work.
    Best to you all.
